About SENCOde
"Adjust your lens, transform your vision, adapt the future."
SENCOde, is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. I have links to a team of experts who work diligently to provide tailored advice and services to ensure that every learner has access to a quality education.
I believe in the potential of every child and strive to create partnerships that facilitate their growth and success.
I have worked in schools for over 20 years. I am a qualified teacher, senior leader and SENDCo. I have vast knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act, Equality Act, the most recent JCQ regulations, as well as specific knowledge of SEND and the Law.
As a parent of children with additional needs myself, I want to share my knowledge and experience to help and support families to understand the law and legislation. Working together to adapt the world for young people with additional needs and not expecting them to change to fit the world.
I have worked with many local authorities including West Sussex, East Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Oxfordshire, Westminster, Surrey, Kent, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. I have vast experience of education, health and care plans (EHCP), applying for them, reviewing them and ensuring they outline the provision a young person needs including alternative provision and education other than at school (EOTAS).
I have vast experience of working with foster carers and Virtual Schools and advising on trauma informed practice.
I have completed the PAPAA (Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements) to fully meet the requirements for assessing candidates for access arrangements in educational settings.
